Matt's Off-Road Recovery [Curated List]

A collection of links to the Matt's Off-Road Recovery YouTube channel.

Matt's Off-Road Recovery chronicles the day-to-day adventures of a family business in the town of Hurricane in southern Utah, who (as the name suggests) spend most of their time pulling stuck vehicles out of the sand dunes in that area. As with all business operations, a lot of the work can be a bit hum-drum and repetitive, but sometimes the cameras catch some really compelling, real-time, real-life adventures ...and that's what we have here; a selection of the more interesting "challenges" that Matt and his team have faced over the years.

The scenery in these videos is usually great, so if you can, I'd recommend that you watch on a large screen via Apple-TV, Roku, Amazon Fire-Stick, or whatever other method you have available. You can still get the sense of drama if you're watching on a tablet or laptop, but you'll be missing the grandeur of the locations they work in.

Matt's Off-Road team work with good humour and initiative in some gruelling (and occasionally fraught) situations. There are sometimes some "close things", but no-one gets hurt in any of these videos and they are all suitable for family viewing.

All of the rights of the videos listed below belong entirely to Matt's Off-Road Recovery and YouTube (I'm only listing links to some of their content here). If you like these videos (and Matt's family, associates and friends) as much as I do, please consider subscribing to their channel (or at least hitting the "like" button) to give them a much deserved boost.

Note that Paul (driving the chopped white Toyota in "Boulder" and the old wrecker in "Edge[II]") also has his own YouTube channel where he concentrates on his work of modifying vehicles in ways which they were never intended to be modified. If you'd like to see the process involved in creating an off-roader from scratch, Fab Rats is the place to go. He also has video content on his channel providing extra footage from different angles of some of the Matt's Off-Road recoveries which he's been involved in.

[Side story: Paul and Matt met at a destruction derby. They've been firm friends ever since Paul knocked Matt out cold (there's video evidence of the event, too).]

...and for 40 minutes of pure excitement, here's the Fab Rats extended family (including help and support from Matt's Of Road) doing demolition derby. This is Paul Cox, along with his sons Landon and Jace, all competing together.
