September (Autumn Equinox) holidays and laying the permanent floors / One section completed (bedroom) with wedges in place

The very last couple of boards are difficult to fit, as there's no space to get in to nail them in place. So, the very last board is cut to size with a chamfer on the edge which goes next to the wall (to allow it to slide easily down into place), then it is pre-fitted onto the tongue of the second-to-last floorboard. Finally, the joists are liberally painted with glue and this last pair of floorboards is gently hammered into place and held down with wedges all along the side of the wall.
