September (Autumn Equinox) holidays and laying the permanent floors / Under-floor insulation for the "wet" areas

The under-floor insulation in the "wet" areas (toilet, bathroom, entrance hall) is all polystyrene block. I wouldn't put this anywhere near the ceiling, as I really don't want molten plastic pouring down onto us in the event of a house fire, but under the floors in areas which might get water seepage or spillage it's hard to beat. Unlike the "Live Wool", the polystyrene/particle-board combination is also stiff enough to take a man's weight, which makes working on the floor just a little bit easier, too.
